How to play Kalima (كلمة)

Kalima (كلمة) is a free daily word game in Modern Standard Arabic: you get six tries to guess the five-letter word of the day. One word per day, the same for everyone, changing at midnight local time. No download, no signup, no ads.

The rules

Every guess must be a valid five-letter Arabic word.
After each guess the tiles change colour: green — the letter is in exactly the right spot; yellow — the letter is in the word but in another position; grey — the letter is not in the word.
Hamzas on alif don't count: اكل is accepted for أكل, and the correct spelling is revealed on solving. That's the accepted convention of Arabic word games.
Ta marbuta (ة) and ha (ه) are distinct letters, and so are ya (ي) and alif maqsura (ى).
Words carry no diacritics — there are no harakat in the game.

Strategy

Open with a word rich in common letters: alif, lam, mim, nun and ra reveal a lot.
On the second guess, try new letters instead of repeating grey ones — the first two guesses are about information, not about hitting the answer.
Remember the common patterns: fāʿil (فاعل), mafʿūl (مفعول), faʿīl (فعيل) — many five-letter words are built on them.
Your streak counts consecutive days played, and you share with a tile board that never reveals the word.
