How to play

Guess the Arabic word of the day in six tries. Every guess must be a valid five-letter Arabic word. After each guess the tiles change colour: green when a letter sits in the right spot, yellow when it is in the word but somewhere else, grey when it is not in the word.

Hamzas on alif don't count: type اكل and it is accepted for أكل — the correct spelling is revealed when you solve. Ta marbuta (ة) and ha (ه) are different letters, and so are ya (ي) and alif maqsura (ى). There is a new word every day at midnight, local time. Read the full rules or check today's hints.
