Our take
Upland is a Monopoly-flavored property-trading game where the parcels map to real-world street addresses — San Francisco, New York and dozens of other cities — recorded as NFTs on the EOS blockchain. It plays in a browser at play.upland.me (mobile apps exist too) and starting is free: new players get a starter allowance of UPX, the in-game currency, and earn more from digital rent on properties they buy. The project is still actively developed in 2026 — an 'Upland 2.0' rebrand, its $SPARKLET token on Base, and a version that runs natively inside X. Honest caveats: the game's pitch includes selling properties and assets for real money, but that claim is Upland's own; progress without spending is slow, and our cashout test has not verified a payout yet.
In one line: Property trading mapped to real street addresses — closer to Monopoly than to an MMO.
