Our take
One of the originals of the land-capture branch of io games — its own tagline is to 'conquer as much land as possible and try to become biggest of them all'. You leave your colored patch, draw a trail across the grid and loop home to claim every block enclosed, but any player touching your exposed trail kills you. The site is still actively maintained (a spectator mode was added in its public update feed), and matches join free in the browser with no account.
