Our take

Freerice is the United Nations World Food Programme's trivia game: multiple-choice questions in vocabulary, geography, flags, math and other categories, where each correct answer triggers a small sponsor-funded donation to WFP's hunger relief work. The format is simple ladder trivia — questions get harder as you streak — and it runs free in the browser with no account required. It has been converting idle quiz minutes into charity since 2007, and remains the rare game where losing focus has a real-world cost.

In one line: Every right answer funds UN hunger relief — trivia with a charity engine.
