Our take
Codenames Online is the official free browser version of Vlaada Chvatil's board game, run by its publisher Czech Games Edition. Two teams face a grid of 25 words; each spymaster gives one-word clues to steer teammates toward their agents and away from the assassin. It is not a hidden-role game — everyone's allegiance is public — but it fills the same slot: a free room link, your own voice chat, and a group talking itself into and out of terrible decisions.
